The Price is Right
Come on Down..... How many have you have heard those words and wanted to go on the Price is Right? Well, me too and that is exactly what I did, thanks to my friend Danielle. She invited me to join her and 16 others to celebrate her (and now my) friend Julie's birthday. It was so much fun!!!
We left Sunday morning and came home Monday night and had the time of our lives. First I met such a great group of girls that I will forever treasure. They were crazy, lovely and we all had such a great experience. Julie organized the whole trip and she deserves and award for it!
We started off our day at the Grove in LA. We shopped, got some great deal and had a great time. We all treated ourselves to a Sprinkles cupcake. SO GOOD! I had the peanut butter chocolate chip. YUMMY! In fact it was so good, we had another one the next day. (Banana cupcake with chocolate frosting if you want to know, since they were out of the peanut butter one).

That night we went to dinner at SUR. If you watch the Real Housewives and know Lisa
VanderPump, you know where we were. The restaurant also has its own reality show. We had a great dinner and celebrated Julie's birthday at SUR. FUN FUN!!
Now on to the Price is Right.
Well since there was 18 of us, we were able to get tickets ahead of time. We had to be there by 8am! (With 18 girls, it was a miracle we made it on time). First of all let me say, you have to wait a long, LONG, long time to be in the audience. All in all we waited 4 1/2 hours BUT they are so organized with all the contestants. During the long wait we were moved to 3 different sections around the building. Unfortunatly it was a cold and rainy day in LA and the whole experience was outside. After gettting our group photo (see below), we were finally interviewed by one of the shows producer. We were interviewed in one group and asked our name and what we did. After, we all made bets on who was going to be choosen. More on that later....

Ok, we waited some more and then we finally were led into the theater were the show tapes. The excitement was beyond words. I had watch this show practically my whole life and to see it in person was so cool! We were seated right in the middle of the audience. We were a sea of pink beautiful ladies! The taping lasts about an hour and we were cheering (Yelling) almost the whole hour. It is so loud, I couldnt hear what the contestants bid but it didnt even matter. However, one contestant I spoke with while waiting (remember the 4 1/2 hours), got to come on down. I helped him win a set of jewelry. Everyone was bidding way too low and he looked at me and I yelled and gave all signs to bid higher and HE WON!! The whole time you are in the audience you are wondering if you are going to be called next and we never were which was such a bummer.
HOWEVER, Julie did get to go on stage and meet DREW CAREY during a commercial break. She loved it and didnt want to get off the stage!! Since you aren't allowed cameras in the theater the moment will live on in our memories only. Drew Carey and George (The come on down announcer) are great. They interact with the audience before, during and after the show. ALL in ALL in was a blast!!!
