Mr and Mrs Dwight Dixon (Mesa Wedding)

WOW! My first wedding shoot (as a photographer) is now off my to-do list. And let me tell you... I now understand why Photographers are worth so much!! I was honored when my brother in law, Dwight, and his then fiance asked me to be the photographer at thier wedding. But I had no idea what I was getting myself into. However it was a terrific lesson and am so thankful to have this experience now.

Dwight and Lisa were married on Sunday January 29th in Mesa Arizona. It was a beautiful day and everyone could see how much they love each other. We took thier pictures over two days. On Saturday was Round 1 at Power Ranch in Gilbert AZ and Round 2 was in Mesa AZ. I wanted them to enjoy thier wedding day so asked them to take immediate family and the happy couple only the day before. I am so glad we did because the pictures at Power Ranch turned out amazing!

My life.updates Summer 2017

I have not posted a blog in awhile but as I was on my way to workout today I thought it was time.  First off, my Zumba instructor is the best and am so happy I get to take her classes.  I belong to Desert Fitness in Gilbert AZ and Diana A is amazing.  Run to take her class, she will make you smile, sweat and feel like your dying but always feel amazing after.   Anyway, I am happy to be back!  Its another time of transition for me.  Kids are back in school and I was lucky enough to spend the summer with them.  Don't get me wrong, life with a six and ten year old isn't always easy but when it gets overwhelming, hard, too much, I was remember to slow down and take a GIANT breath.  Our summer was filled with activities, a summer guest, trips to California (and a 17 day road trip to Montana/Wyoming.  I will write a separate blog about that trip 😊) but here a couple images from our San Diego, Huntington Beach/LA trip in mid...

Since being laid off after being at my old company for almost 10 years, I have decided to stay home for awhile with Maya and concentrate more on my photography. My favorite subjects are my 2 kiddos. Devon is 4 years old and Maya is 4 1/2 mos old. I am always up for practicing my skills so let me know if you need your pictures taken. Christmas 2011

Another Christmas has come and gone. This one was special for us since it was Mayas 1st Christmas. Maya is now 8 1/2 months old and Devon is 4 1/2. Devon's favorite holiday (by far) is Christmas. He loves everything about it: the presents, the music, the holiday lights and yeah and presents (again). This year we tried to instill the "giving" part of the holiday and was very impressed with Devon. He (with a little encouragement) gave away a huge bag of toys. He gave them to a family with two boys (4 and 2). Hopefully it made thier Christmas much brighter.
