Disney Fun

For my son's Fall break this year we went to "the Happiest Place on Earth" with our friends the Lazors. We had a fantastic time and came home exhausted.    We spent 12+ hours at California Adventure and 12+ hours at Disneyland and still did not see all the attractions/rides.
I had done lots of research before we left and discovered some great tips for a website called www.mousesavers.com.  It is a great resource for anyone wanting to visit the parks.  It was also the cheapest tickets I could find.
We started out at California Adventure. Since Maya is only 18 mos old she couldnt go on many of the rides.  While the group waited in line Maya and I walked around Cars Land.  We had lots of fun in the gift stores trying on hats and looking for souvenirs. (One of the tips I learned from mousesavers is called a Fast Pass and Ride Swap.)  Since one person had to wait with Maya while the others went on the ride, as soon as the ride was over we would switch.  The Ride Swap pass allows 2 people to enjoy the ride with little or no wait.  Fast Pass allows riders to skip the long waits and return in a separate line during specific times (typically 45 mins-2 hours later).  Cars Land is so amazing and totally worth the time to see it.  The racer ride was my favorite ride, so much fun!!  However, every part was a blast.
California Advernture is a great park.  We went on lots of rides, saw shows, the amazing Pixar Parade and ended with World of Color.  It is beautiful and so creative.

Disneyland is everything we thought it would be.  I had not been since I was around 8 and Dennis, Devon and Maya were 1st time visitors.  My favorite rides at Disneyland was Space Mountain and the Star Wars adventure. We took advantage of the Fast Pass at Disneyland also.  At Disney not every ride is eligible so we had to wait in more lines but it did not deminish our fun.  One of Devon's favorite parts was taking the "Jedi training".  He did so well and was thrilled after.  After another extremely long day we ended the day meeting Mickey Mouse then off to the Disney Fireworks show.  It was set to music and took place of the iconic Disney castle.

We could have spent another day at the parks but we will save the rest for our next visit.  Enjoy the collage.
